Cuban Colonial Architecture in my Dreams…
I’m just finishing up my new course on Photoshop – Enhancing Digital Images and Creating Works of Art. Here is a technique that worked beautifully with infrared photographs and I’m writing the concept into the course now.
I like the pastel look and soft effect, and in infrared – it becomes surreal. The dreamy glow works well with the image and tells a new story other than the one that was recorded by the camera. It’s more evocative of memories, or suggestive of a dream. It also has an artistic hand colored look, and I didn’t have to break out my Marshall’s Oil set, or Prismacolor pencils!
Moral of the story? Don’t be afraid to try anything new! Experiment, have fun, and see what happens if…
