Niagara Frontier Regional Camera Clubs Convention…

Niagara Falls

Thank you to Gary Farber of Hunts Photo and Video for sponsoring me, and to Wade Aiken for the invitation to speak at the Niagara Frontier Regional Camera Club convention last week! I enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting new friends! I’m impressed by the quality of imagery created by the club members, and how dedicated everyone is to photography. It’s such a pleasure to speak to such an outstanding group of photographer’s who are intent on skill building and learning new techniques. My talks included Infrared Photography, and Long Exposure Creativity and I was very excited to have enthusiastic photographers attending each talk. A special thanks to Leonie Holmes for introducing me for each presentation! The convention was well located and well planned, and a lot of fun for everyone.

I had a moment to walk over to Niagara Falls, where my parents spent their honeymoon!  I can’t resist including the iconic coin operated viewers which are staged along the lookout area along the falls. Singh-Ray’s 10 stop neutral density filter “Mor-Slow” was used to blur the action in the falls for a silky look in the falls. A sepia look was added for a vintage look with Nik Silver Efex Pro. You can use coupon code DSANDIDGE for Nik by Google products, all on special now, follow this link to the Nik Collection by Google sale. Happy shooting! Spring is around the corner, perfect for infrared and long exposure!
