Textures for Photo Creativity…

Twilight at fishing pier at Melbourne Beach

Textures are a a beautiful way to accentuate a photograph. The original photo started as an HDR image, and found it’s way into the oil paint filter in Photoshop CS6, what fun! I like the bendy wavy strokes of color that Oil Paint creates. Three layers of a brush stroked texture were added, Icy Rose from Flypaper Texture using different blend modes Overlay and Soft Light. A finishing touch with Viveza balanced the light in the sky. You can learn more about how to work with textures from my Creativity with Textures tutorial, and in my BetterPhoto.com Photoshop course, Enhancing Images and Creating Works of Art.
