Get creative with infrared…

Midnight blue sky infrared photograph with the moon.

Infrared is one of my passions with photography, it’s surreal, beautiful and easy to accomplish with an infrared converted digital camera. One of the creative things you can do with infrared is use textures or colors to change the mood or feeling of an image. With this photo I worked with Nik Color Efex Pro Midnight filter, choosing a deep dark blue color and subtle soft glow to give the image a photographed-at-midnight look. The moon was added for a touch of whimsy. Follow this link to see all creative tools and filters. If you are interested in infrared photography, my book Digital Infrared Photography is available on Amazon. I’ll also be giving presentations on infrared and other photography topics, this November during the Festival of the Cranes at Bosque del Apache. I hope to see you there!
