Havana World…

Havana Cuba with a fisheye lens photographed during twilightWelcome to the world of Havana! This was photographed from a (very narrow) balcony from a hotel in downtown Havana. I loved this view, the city lights add a little sparkle and you can hear music from every direction. A 13 second exposure captured passing cars as streaks of light. At 24mm, the Nikkor 24-70mm creates a wide angle view, and a little Photoshop artistry suggests a fisheye lens look just for fun! Photographing during twilight is my favorite time to make pictures. Everything looks a bit more glamorous including this well established city.

If you are interested in twilight photography, I’ll be giving presentations on long exposure creativity in Amherst, Massachusetts July 12-14 for NECCC. I’ll also be teaching several night photography workshops in Socorro, NM during the Festival of the Cranes event this November, along with presentations for infrared, long exposure and artistic imagery. I’m posting a week of Havana photos over on Google+, hope you can join me there too!
