New Metallic Textures from Flypaper…

Cuba classic car

You can create a fine art look with your photograph by simply applying a texture. A texture layer addition can increase the depth, dimension, and drama of a photograph. It is one of the easiest ways to create a more expressive image. A texture layer can be anything you wish, from painterly looking brushstrokes, to textured canvas, to old grunge that appears in the viewfinders of antique cameras. Texture can add more personality to an image. You can make a digital image look like an old photo by simulated film effects, or make a photo look more painterly or impressionistic, or even create something more contemporary and abstract. Textures can be applied to a still life, landscapes, portraits… anything goes! I used Flypaper Textures on the classic car from Cuba shown above, and a texture named Mars from the brand new Metallic Collection. You can check out all the textures including the new Metallic collection from Flypaper Texture, and use coupon code DEBS for other texture discounts.
Using Mini Bridge in Photoshop CS6 is a great way to try out textures!  Mini Bridge allows you to easily try out any texture from your texture folders to see how it works with your image. Navigate to the Flypaper Texture folder and drag a texture over your picture. Change the blend mode to combine the images, Soft Light or Overlay works well for most images, and you can apply texture twice or use different textures. Try enhancing your textured image with Nik Color Efex Pro. Experiment and have fun!

    Hi,

Thanks for the coupon code. I finally bit the bullet and bought a couple of pacs as I’m just starting to experiment with it 🙂

    Cheers
