Analog Efex Pro

Flatiron Building photographed at twilight

Analog Efex Pro is now available as part of the Nik Collection by Google, what fun! This software replicates a vintage film/toy camera look that is endlessly customizable with a variety of tools, or nail it first click with a preset. The photo above was taken on a photo walk during PhotoExpo Plus, held by Jason Odell and I near Madison Square Park in front of the Flat Iron Building. The blue hour offered the perfect time to work with long exposures and streaks of light from passing cars, adding more color and drama to the scene. I used Toy Camera, one of the presets that creates distortion, blur and other effects that would result from a toy camera photo but without having to process film. Analog Efex Pro is available free as part of the Nik Collection, and the trial version is available here. http://www.google.com/nikcollection/
